Matse – Mathematical Technical Software Engineer
As mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE), we combine mathematics with
modern programming. We develop software that makes complex scientific issues
understandable and calculable.
This project was created and developed by four Matses within four months as part of a software

OpenSeadragon
Open-Source, web-based viewer implemented in JavaScript
We use OpenSeadragon as the viewer for displaying our images. The images are first
converted to the Deep Zoom Image (DZI) format, in which they are divided into many small
tiles and different resolutions.
This ensures that only the parts of the image currently needed are loaded, enabling fast,
smooth display and seamless zooming—even with very large images.
